This double CD features 27 different songs, including the classics “Rock Me, Baby,” “Shake Your Moneymaker,” “Wang Dang Doodle,” and Tawl Paul’s signature song, “Sweet Jane.”  It’s the band’s first recorded music in over 20 years.

For 35 years, Carbondale residents and SIU students have made the Tawl Paul / Slappin’ Henry Blue music experience a memory of some of the best nights of their lives.

This CD truly captures the essence of a Slappin’ Henry Blue show with its excitement, raw energy, great musicians, and Tawl Paul’s extraordinary vocals.  A difficult task considering the sheer number of great ones from which to choose. Through it all, you will hear musicians playing with passion and soul, taking you back to those magical moments when you were there with them, making the music experience so special, for many, even transformational. 

Were those nights really that great? When you play this CD, you will know the answer is “Yes.” Those nights really were that great. And, whenever this CD is played, the memory of those nights will live on, as they deserve to, along with the band that made the music so extraordinary.
