Creative opportunities and outlets allow for connection, growth, and healing. This truth is what Handmade by Chloe has been built on and what drives future growth. My journey into sewing began following a season of extreme loss in my life, and in the midst of reshaping my outlook on life, I turned to creating sentimental, custom, and upcycled sewing projects for myself and others. Each project sparks a purpose of how meaningful it is to transform previously loved items into a project with new life. Each piece has its own unique story, and I am beyond excited to bring my work to the Saluki Market platform and share why this work means so much to me.
To formally introduce myself, my name is Chloe Scroggins, and I am a recent graduate of SIU with a degree in agricultural systems technology management. Handmade by Chloe was born in my apartment bedroom during my time as a student at Southern. During my time as a Saluki, I was a member of the softball team where we had the honor to bring four Missouri Valley Conference titles back home to the university. Although my time at SIU as a student athlete has expired, I am grateful to have the opportunity to stay connected to the community through this market.
I am excited to bring a vast range of project opportunities to the Saluki Market, with offerings from small accessories to more elaborate, creative designs, with a special emphasis on custom and sentimental items. I learned how to use a sewing machine just four years ago, but my love for creating continues to grow rapidly. Every item made is crafted with care, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality. Pricing varies item to item, determined mainly by time and cost of materials, with orders shipped as quickly as possible.
